Volley Boast, LLC is pleased to announce we are now a member of the LoRa Alliance®.
The LoRa Alliance® is the fastest growing technology alliance. A non-profit association, it has become one of the largest alliances in the technology sector, committed to enabling large-scale deployment of Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) IoT through the development and promotion of the LoRaWAN® open standard.
Volley Boast looks forward to collaborating with and contributing to the vibrant ecosystem that the LoRa Alliance® has established. President and CEO of Volley Boast Peter Weidler says, “The LoRa Alliance® standardization and certification processes have established a global standard in the IoT industry. We look forward to working with fellow member companies to increase the adoption and utility of LoRaWAN® technology and LoRaWAN® networks, particularly in industrial environments.”
There are a limited number of LoRaWAN® devices that are certified to the standard required to be placed in industrial settings. Volley Boast’s endpoints, the VoBo GP-1 and HL-1, are fully autonomous LoRaWAN® bridges that allow data to be captured from new or legacy wired instrumentation and transmitted wirelessly to a central point. The GP-1 is a general purpose LoRaWAN® endpoint, while the HL-1 is certified for use in Class1 Div 2 hazardous locations. Carrying UL-62368 and CSA C22.2 listings and certified to ANSI/ISA 12.12.01 and CAN/CSA C22.2, the VoBo is well suited for the North American industrial market.
Because the VoBo is battery powered and supplies power to its analog terminal blocks, it is the most affordable way to retrieve stranded data from existing legacy sensors, transmitters, totalizers and flow computers, or from new installations at points previously too expensive to monitor.
LoRa Alliance® and LoRaWAN® are marks used under license from the LoRa Alliance®.
