Wireless LoRaWAN® Bridge Endpoint
A VoBo LoRaWAN® Bridge Endpoint converts most wired instrumentation into wireless LoRaWAN® instrumentation, making it a unique product in the LoRaWAN® industry. Other LoRaWAN® endpoints are not sensor agnostic, which limits the type of sensors available to the network. VoBos connect to almost any wired sensor, converting it to a wireless device.
The VoBo reads data from the sensor, or input, and sends that data to the LoRaWAN® gateway. This wireless sensor integration allows LoRaWAN® networks to use the most common sensors, eliminating the need to repurchase sensors when collecting data over LoRaWAN®.
Multiple Inputs
VoBo GP-1™ and VoBo HL-1™ accept a wide range of analog and digital input sensors, allowing the use of favored and legacy sensors.
Inputs include:
- Three Analog Inputs
- 4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V
- Three Digital Inputs
- Dry contact and Voltage
- One WKUP Digital Input
- Dry contact
- One RS-485 Serial Channel
- Modbus RTU
- Option to Daisy Chain Multiple Modbus RTU Devices
Industrial Grade
VoBo GP-1™ and VoBo HL-1™ are industrial-grade devices. They’re designed for harsh environments without the need for additional protection. They include rugged enclosures and internal antennas for installation in hazardous areas.
They’re rated for IP66, protecting them from dust and water. They’re also rated for NEMA 4X, with a gasketed door enclosure to protect against corrosion, dust, water, and ice. Both were designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Both have an operating temperature of -35°C to 80°C. VoBo HL-1 has a Class 1 Division 2 hazardous area rating, making it ideal for use in industrial hazardous areas.
Low Power
VoBo GP-1 and HL-1 are battery-powered and have no need for external power. Both can provide power to wired sensors. The battery is user-replaceable.
Battery life will depend on whether the VoBo powers the sensors, the sensor power required, how often the VoBo takes a reading, and the time the sensors should be powered to take a reading. In most cases, the VoBo’s battery will usually last three years or more.
Long Range
VoBo GP-1 and HL-1 contain long-range radios with internal antennas, able to send signals up to 6 miles Line of Sight (LOS). VoBos and LoRaWAN® also perform well in industrial settings alongside other wireless networks.
Easy to Configure
Both the VoBo GP-1 and HL-1 can be configured for your sensors and devices. Configure them locally through a serial connection, over the air with downlinks, or have them pre-set with a configuration at the time of purchase.
Where to Purchase
VoBo GP-1™ and VoBo HL-1™ provide a wide range of features and are great choices for many LoRaWAN® networks.
