Learn how the VoBo TC helped with steam trap monitoring in harsh winter weather. To minimize the manual inspections, and manage steam trap maintenance and repair more efficiently, the customer wanted the temperature data of thousands of steam traps available on their LoRaWAN network.

Over the Christmas holiday, the Polar Express brought one of our Midwest clients temperatures as low as -24°C (-11°F) and wind speeds up to 30 km/hr (18 mph). Despite the bleak conditions, our VoBos never missed a transmission.

This VoBo is deployed deep within a processing facility. It is used to monitor calibration gas pressures for critical process analyzers. The customer is focused primarily on health and safety during their rollout of LoRa/LoRaWANs. They shared the picture as it demonstrates how a $600 VoBo can both drastically reduce their staff’s exposure to potentially dangerous equipment and situations while also saving significant time and money.
